Hi, I’m Kartik. I’m a machine learning engineer and researcher, currently working at Nextdoor where I build the models that power the app’s content feed.

I specialize in building and optimizing real-time recommender systems with strict compute and latency constraints. I have a research background in reinforcement learning and natural language processing, focusing on off-policy RL in offline settings and LLM evaluation and interpretability.
